Qualifications

Yaman is the principal lawyer of the firm and manages the day-to-day operations. He represents both corporate and individual clients exclusively in the areas of business, real estate and wills and estate law.

Real Estate law - Yaman works on a broad range of real estate and commercial transactions. He assists clients in the real estate sector with commercial, residential and mixed-use development projects, commercial leasing matters, lending and other transactions.

Business law - Yaman works with founders in setting up and organizing new businesses, as well as with established companies in connection with internal corporate reorganizations. Yaman works on private company transactions, including acquisitions and divestures, buying and selling of businesses, corporate restructurings, financing, and the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of a wide variety of general commercial contracts, including franchise disclosure documents.

Wills & Estate law - Yaman works with clients and their advisors to create and implement integrated estate planning models, including evaluating the appropriateness of an preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney (enduring and limited, as circumstances requires), and Trusts. Yaman also assists individuals and executors in navigating the probate process and the ongoing administration of estates and trusts.

Community Involvement

Yaman has volunteered with Pro-Bono Students Canada. Yaman has worked on draft and proposed legislation, policy reviews and has researched complex memoranda on fundamental freedoms, police powers, national security, equality and civil liberties.

Yaman is the founder and chairman of the Syrian Association of Ottawa, a not-for-profit corporation. Through the Syrian Association of Ottawa, Yaman worked tirelessly and extensively with Syrian refugees in order to assist in their integration into Canada.
